DuoFlora 2012 BV a cooperation between ARCADIS Nederland BV and Dura Vermeer Infrastructuur BV, aimed at the realisation of the basic park for the Floriade 2012, as well as the sub-projects for the submitting parties and other additional work. DuoFlora 2012 will perform work in the area of infrastructure, both below and above ground, the furnishing of all green elements and provision of street furniture. The delivery of quality within a set term and budget is the major ambition in this respect. ARCADIS Nederland BV will be responsible for the integrated approach, which will include design, project management and budgetary control.
De Floriade – the largest world horticulture show – takes place once every ten years. Traditionally in the Randstad area of the Netherlands, in 2012 it will be held for the first time outside of this area, in Venlo. The Floriade 2012 will principally be described as a green experience event. It will also act as a platform for innovation, socially responsible entrepreneurship and sustainability. Following the event, the site will be further developed for the realisation of an exclusive business park called Venlo Green Park, providing opportunities to work in an inspirational green environment.
The Floriadepark for the Floriade 2012 must be finished before the final opening of the exhibition in the spring of 2012 and within the scope and quality preconditions laid down, as well as within the budget adopted. The client for the event is Regio Venlo Floriade 2012 BV, a company set up by the Nederlandse Tuinbouw Raad (Netherlands Horticulture Council) and the Venlo Region (participation by the municipalities Gennep, Helden, Horst aan de Maas, Venlo and Venray).
